nevertheless, THERE'S SO MUCH TO CELEBRATE! (not counting the postponement of class on m0nday coz omnivores will be swarming to Jaro.)

and there's, Serena. SHE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
damn! 10 Grand Slam titles overall. watchout Steffi Graf. Serena is as hot as Australia's scorching heat! even hotter than the center of the universe! she's just simply the hottest thing. any temperature-measuring device got broken. indeed, Serena fever is in the ayer ayer. in fact, it seems to be resurging.

i patiently waited for 24 hours(and went ahead of my friends in our weekly 'fat session') just to see her playing live on tv. but fate intervened and it's just too bad that i haven't seen her slamming her opponent down. these irritating sports channel. don't they know what tournament hooks their audiences? certainly, they don't. teh nag internet na lng ko eh para may updates man ko bskan scores lng.

hours ago, the sporting world saw Serena win(easily) her 4th Australian Open trophy. she continues to win in an odd-numbered years, 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2009. everything is deja vu --- triple deja vu.

i dunno y. but it's always, always was, and always be an out-of-body experience for me to watch her clutch a Grand Slam trophy. watching her winning is the total sum(gd ya?) of my existence. it's the pinnacle of it all. and one more thing, she's back being the world no.1! and she just surpassed Anika Sorenstam as the highest earning female athlete of all time!

Australian Open na bwas! weeeeh! after weeks of excruciating pain due to some mundane things this world has to offer(i is pathetic. a pathetic mortal!), alas! at last there's something to look forward! haaaaah!

la lng. nasadyahan lng ko ya. amu naman ni pagpuli ko timprano pa(take note: timprano is subjective). di naman ko ni makatuon para lng makalantaw kay Serena(and Venus to0!). haha..funny kay last tym nag absent gd ko sa aga para lng makalantaw sang quarterfinal sng Williams sisters. twas worth the final!

and Serena won the tournament!!! her 3rd US Open title.
overall, she has 9 Major Titles on her hands.
a French, 2 Wimbledons, 3 US Open, and 3 Aussie Open(this will be her 4th. wanna bet?)

drinks, smokes, and drugs simply pale in comparison with my addcition to Serena. i just never get tired of watching her vids on youtube, really. i can still remember the first time i saw her. she was then playing against Jennifer Capriati(speaking of drugs..o0ops! bsi ma libel ko d!) on the quarterfinal(or semis yata..bsta.) of the US Open. to0 bad she lost due to the cataract-infested eye of one the linesmen!

gling damu man ga discriminate sa ila(Serena&Venus). they're Afro-American dan. teh anu karon?! just because a person's pair of chromosome went different, it does not give us the right to discriminate them. wake up mortals! wake up!

as i was strolling the shelves of a b0okstore yesterday, Youngblo0d 2.0 grabbed my attention. the b0ok is actually a cornucopia of essays written by a bunch of y0ung pe0ple from all walks of life, and of the road. corny Red. (haha..) hence the title, Youngblood 2.0..
twas funny and amusing how youth of those days('97-'98) viewed their experiences along the way. hello honest candor and wicked wit.

so how does a y0uth of the 21st century view s0me things? u ask. cge na lng gni, i'm in the mo0d to type dan. hihi..

ON SCHOOLING

if only Bill Gates would let me inherit the vastness of his wealth, i would never care to wake up very early in the morning just to educate(???) myself. if life is hard, thinking is way much harder! it's very strenuous. they say that out of 100% of things that we learn in school, roughly only 10 % remains in our coconut shells. does it apply to u too? or is it just on me? sch0ol is fun though. it allows you to discover things that experiences could never dare teach us. (du ka baliskad sng thought noh? hmm..) and cheating is one of those. *big grin..if anyone never did such, idareyou, cast a stone(boulder pwede man ah! gling basi mapatay naku na! anu na lng b future sng Philippines?! haha..) on me. but no, really, talking about the things school taught and imparted in me would take us a long while. unless, cheating is allowed.=) teachers teach us life's lessons, and cutting ur nails is one of them. 0uch. that stick hurts! and friends spell FUN. hearthrobs and chikabebes make hearts flutter when they appear 10 meters away on your radar. and exams and the likes increase wrinkles, therefore increases and puts Viki Belo on BIR's top ten highest annual income earner. where did she go to school anyway? haha..

P.S. if ur place is 10+ meters below sea level, u don't have a choice but to wake up very very early and see if u can get more than a drop of water. lunurin ang MIWD!!! lunurin! lunurin!

ON BLOGGING

action speaks louder than blog. says wh0?! sometimes, a blog is the hellish way of expressing ur thoughts when u can't put them into actions. i like blogging. i think it gives me the freedom to express the thoughts that prohibits me to say in a society governed by stereotyping and stupidity.(hey, i'm a part of that society.)

ON BOOKS

i pretty adore b0oks to0. in the words of the very inspirational(haha..) Bob Ong, 'tao ka, at merong karne sa gitna ng iyong dalawang tenga na kailangang pakainin.' how true. how very true. b0oks are my companions on a day when boredom kills. it never fails to entertain after a day full of tv & internet. it teaches us, makes us laugh, cry, or even wail sometimes. and the best part? it's when u have yaman(*ehem!) friends who's willing to lend you their collections! hehe..'b0oks are lighthouses', as the p0et once put it, 'erected in the seas of time. they are the engineers and architects of the foundations of mankind. they are the windows to the world. the magicians, teachers, and inventors of the universe. bo0ks are humanity in print.'

P.S. nabakal ko na gd man gna ang youngbl0od 2.0! hehe..mahal gling ang 'Tales of Beedle the Bard' ni JK. whew..i'll give it a try next time.


ON POLITICS

just pure SOS. Same Old Stuff. what's new? Philippine politics is one big telenovela. just picture this out, Gloria is the leading lady, the congressmen are her suitors who would go the mo0n and reach the stars just to get her '0o'. the people who run the telenovela is making money out of it. hey, money is the name of the game. the Filipino people is the audience. unfortunately for the audience, the telenovela is always a replay. p0or audiences. but i know there's still some who know that money can buy them a king-size bed(is there such? i think queen-size lng.) but never a go0dnight sleep. can buy them a multilevel house but never a harmonious home. and delicious foods but never the appetite.

P.S. i better stop this innuendos before the leading lady's legal counsel sue my ass in court!

and on LOVE.
hmm..what should be said? LOVE is a word. a four-letter word. and there's more to it than that.
baw. du piho aw. haha.. some people though don't get to know the aftermath of it. pain. hurt.(four-letter words are all over the place!) and sometimes, suicide.(this definitely is not a four-letter word.) there's no pain in love. how could love itself hurt? pain is just the mere consequence of it. and it's because there's lack of love. if u feel like crying, teh hibi ka eh! problema bla na?! be sure enough though, that the person is worth the tears. if otherwise, pag anu ya nga! huh. for those who are in a relationship, live the moment. and never cease to appreciate who and what u both have. and to my colleagues(haha!), the singletons, have patience and learn to wait. what's the rush? there's plenty of time anyway. just wait coz who knows, it might just take u by surprise. if you feel the person is the 'one', then go get it. we all take a risk when we open our hearts. because the truth is, we will get hurt. you can't open your heart and not have some hurt because you're in a human experience.

damn! the weather makes me sick these days. in a g0od way. my dream of experiencing the sn0w is slowly melting away because of this in-your-skin-Christmas-aftermath breeze. lameeeeeeeeeg! this day is something different. it wasn't my usual sleep-eat-tv-pc day for me.

our friends are family that we cho0se for ourselves.

my friend asked me last time to help him vacate and transfer his things because he's ab0ut to have a new boarding house. pard0n him, he has nomadic tendencies. s0rry nick! haha..
tita chelsea(that's sarrah.. nick is toto, krisha is inday<---she gets mad though when i call her such...lovely is tyay, and our list g0es on.) already helped him yesterday. so things weren't that hard for me. there was a box, a balde, a plastic bag, a long mirror, and hangers(take that! haha!). xempre nag taxi na lng kmi eh kay bsi masal-an kmi nga kawatan sa dalan. weeeeh!

when we arrived to his new boarding house, we t0ok s0me time what to do with his extra things. *i like the r0om coz it's small. i was never the type wh0 liked big ro0ms. dunno y. =)
then we tried to cajole lovely to come over the place c0z her house is just a stone's throw away from nick's place. g0od thing she happily obliged our requests.

then we went to lovely's h0use to borrow her assignment 0n physics.

Vero Possimus!

0kay. so, 2008 was d0ne.
i welc0med 2009 busily chatting with some friends. (my regular chatm8 even told me; 'i welcomed 2009 as a single'. haha..wait till it takes u by surprise!)
and attending Christmas party(of our whole family).
and joyfully listening to those firecrackers 0n a cold and rainy New Year's Eve. some firecrackers never made a sound though. curse the rain! there were lotsa fireworks in our street! for 30 minutes, we painted the sky rainbow! weeeeeeh!

i did it all at the same time. i have alter egos u know. hehe!=)
talk about multitasking.

a new year has passed and a new one is just starting to unravel itself.
and celebrating the coming of a new year isn't complete without(drumroll please!)...taraaan! a New Year's Resolution! =)

( i only want to do TEN this tym so things would be attainable and damn easy for me. haha!)

1. to hear the mass every Sunday & special holidays. (canonization. anyone?)
2. to do the household chores. ( my mom does them all the time here. naluoy ko gni cya. awwww..)
3. to study hard. i mean, HARDER! (gotta make my momma proud. hehe)
4. to save more more more moneee. weeeeh!
5. to limit my skyrocketting spending spree! (won't tell u though what items i spend my money on. haha! not fo0d. not cl0thes. not gadgets. basta ah!)
6. to open up myself on meeting new people. (i just got few acquaintances this year.)
7. to not procrastinate things. (lyk reading b0oks, asyments, projects, and STUDYING ON EXAMS! and all.)
8. to sleep and wake up at the proper time. (haha!)
9. to convert myself into a health freak. (i NEED to be healthy this year.)
10. to be a good person. (ang mag react bitayon suli. hahaha!)

3. Grey's Anatomy, Heroes, & House dvd collection. ( dvd marathon! nami ang GA!)
4. a pair of slippers. (the one u cud use when going out of the house.)
5. a hat. (krisha didn't return my one & only hat.)
6. to own a pair of white shoes. (duty time!)
7. hopefully to start collecting Pugad Baboy series.
8. a go0d sweater to combat the c0ld waetherrrr...
9. cge na lng gni, a laptop! (enticing. whitwhew!)
10. a presentable report card! (go0dluck to me.)
